Mr. Mirza served as President Global Client Development, Asia Pacific at Harris Interactive (NASDAQ: HPOL) a US based top 10 leading global market research firm, from December 2008 – April 2010.  

From August 2007 to December 2008, he served as President of South Asia Operations before being given Asia Pacific responsibilities in December 2008. In his various roles, Mr. Mirza was responsible for a multi-million dollar P&L, developing and managing key global client relationships across the region, seeking acquisitions and driving top line growth and profitability for the firm.

Mr. Mirza co-founded MarketShare, an Asian market research firm in Singapore in 2003. The company opened its offices in Hong Kong in 2005 to establish a foothold to enter the Greater China market.  In 2006 the company started its China operations in Shanghai. In August 2007 after 4 years since its inception Mr. Mirza successfully marketed and sold the company to publicly listed US global market research firm, Harris Interactive. In doing so he became the youngest President and member of the Global Executive Management Leadership Team.

Before co-founding MarketShare, Mr. Mirza was an early stage investor and Chief Operating Officer at Strategic Intelligence Research, a Pan Asian market research firm with a focus on emerging market political and economic risk analysis. In addition to being a major shareholder he also held senior level executive positions in marketing, business development, finance and operations.

From 1997 through to 2000, Mr. Mirza worked on the Asia desk at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Private Banking Business. Here he was responsible for corporate and High Net Worth individual business portfolios and navigating clients through the Asian financial crisis.
Prior to Credit Suisse First Boston, Mr. Mirza worked on consulting assignments for the BOC in Sydney, Australia and Citibank in Dubai, U.A.E.

Mr. Mirza has over 15 years experience operating, managing and developing businesses across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.  He has also worked on over 500 mandates for Multinational companies in leveraging research and consumer insights to develop growth strategies for a variety of sectors including Banking and Finance, Travel & Tourism, Healthcare, Retail and Technology.

During this period, he has built an extensive global network of clients, partnerships and business relationships having lived and worked in these regions. In addition he has been widely quoted in the media (CNBC, BBC) and a frequent speaker at conferences and events. He has also written numerous business articles and his work has been published by Palgrave Macmillan.

He belongs to a number of professional associations including Mumbai Business Angels, an Angel investing group focused on seeding high growth start-up companies from India. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Singapore Chapter. Mr. Mirza received his Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing and Finance from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia.
