Experience

Anand is the Head of the Principal Investments Business of Shinsei Bank in India. He is responsible for making investments from Shinsei Bank’s balance sheet across a wide range of investments areas from private equity to distressed debt in India. Shinsei Bank ranks amongst the top banks in Japan and is amongst the fastest growing banks in Japan with a balance sheet size of US$110 billion.� 

Anand has a rich and diverse international background that spans over 15 years in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Mumbai.�  Prior to joining Shinsei Bank, Anand used to Head the Equity Capital Markets Group covering India and South East Asia at ABN AMRO Bank. He has also worked at Lehman Brothers as part of their Asian Equity Capital Markets Group.�  As an investment banker he has led and structured some very large and prominent offerings in India and Asia.�  � 

Education

Anand holds a MBA from Columbia Business School, a Degree in Law from the Government Law College, and a B.Com degree from Sydenham College.�  � 

Organizations

Anand is part of the Capital Markets Committee of the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC).�  He has also been a member of IMC’s Telecom sub committee and the Entertainment Committee of the CCI.�

Anand enjoy playing tennis and golf and is an amateur sailor.
