Anckur Patodia is Managing Director of GTN Enterprises, part of the GTN group of companies, one of India’s largest cotton yarn manufacturers.� � 

He got his bachelor’s degree in Economics at St Xavier’s College in Mumbai, and then went on to study textile design at the prestigious Central St. Martins’ in London. He followed this up with training stints in textile companies in the U.K. and Italy.� � 

Using his experience in the design and textile field Anckur has branched out into apparel and merchandize design, manufacture and retail. He conceptualized, created and launched two brands, TANGLE, a fashionable women’s wear brand and CHIMP, a unisex brand retailing t-shirts, merchandise and accessories. TANGLE retails through department store chains. CHIMP, besides having its own stores, has tied up with CAFÉ COFFEE DAY and is available across 800 cafés in India. In keeping with his commitment to the environment all CHIMP t-shirts are made from 100% organically grown cotton.� � 

He is a keen scuba diver, aikido practitioner and rare car restorer.
