Ashish Deora (aged 35 years) is Founder Promoter of Aurum Ventures (www.aurumventures.in) has a Bachelors degree of Commerce from Calcutta University. He is a first generation entrepreneur with wide interest in high growth sectors like Telecom, Automotive, Real Estate & Energy.

Ashish has proved his ability in identifying opportunities in early stages and concluding transactions at lightening fast speed through structured investments.

Brief on recent activities

1999   Founded IOL Netcom, which was the first company to create a Metro Area Network using optic fibres and CISCO equipment in India. After listing in 2002, Ashish successfully exited IOL Netcom in 2006, to concentrate on other activities.

2001   Founded Global E-Secure, Joint Venture with Global Telesystems Limited, for high end on line security solutions and later divested in favour of GTL in 2005.

2003   Acquired 51% in Exatt Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Category - A ISP, which was later merged with IOL Netcom in 2007.

2004   Took up a Strategic stake in SpiceJet, a low cost airline, divested to Wilbur Ross in 2008

 2006  Invested in Glodyne Technoserve Limited, IT Services Company, which is now successfully listed and performing extremely well.

2007   Promoted PAN India Motors Pvt. Ltd  in partnership with Mr. Ajay Singh & Mr BVR Subbu to take over the assets of Daewoo Motors India Ltd (in liquidation), from Asset Reconstruction Company India Ltd through Debt Recovery Tribunal, Mumbai. The transaction was concluded using a creative structured finance model for leveraging.  

2008   Allianz Infratech promoted in 2007, received two UASL (GSM mobile) licenses in MP & Bihar which were merged with Etilsalat.

2009   Merged several group entities under single umbrella of Aurum Ventures.
Entered in to Joint Venture with Kuoni for travel related vocational education. Also started development of 110,000 Square foot building complex in South Mumbai.
  
Apart from above Ashish has investments in Real estate and other telecom ventures which are currently in the nascent stages.

Ashish is married and has daughter aged 12 and son aged 2 years.
