Ashwin Mittal

Ashwin manages two companies in the Business Process Outsourcing and Knowledge Process Outsourcing Industry. In 2003 he acquired Cross-Tab Marketing Services from ICICI Ventures. Cross-Tab provides Knowledge Process Outsourcing in the high value market research and data analytics space. Ashwin has been instrumental in growing the revenues of the company 40 times in 5 years since acquisition. Cross-Tab currently has 300 employees in Mumbai and Bangalore, and is one of the leading companies in this high value niche. Cross-Tab has been ranked by the Fortune Magazine as one of the top 100 outsourcing companies in the world, for the last three years in a row. Ashwin has also established, and manages Inditech Solutions, which provides transaction processing outsourcing services in the Logistics, Finance and Government sectors, with a current strength of 200 employees.
Ashwin also plays a key role in the core real estate activities of the Mittal Group. He is managing the acquisition of certain properties and design and development of the projects. The Mittal Group are the oldest Real Estate Developers in Mumbai, and have been in business since 1952 with commercial and residential developments in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore & Hyderabad. More than two thousand buildings have been built across the country including several of India’s modern day landmarks. Ashwin has a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Commerce, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and London Business School. He has past work experience in corporate treasury at Reliance Industries in Mumbai and strategy consulting with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, in New York. Ashwin’s articles on India’s Knowledge process outsourcing industry have been published in leading global publications such as ‘Research World’ and ‘Quirks’. He is an active member of the Entrepreneurs Organization’s Mumbai chapter. Ashwin is also a founder member of the “Band of Angels” – India’s first organized Angel investor group and is on the screening committee. Through the “Band of Angels”, Ashwin frequently invests in young startup companies.
