Bino Pathiparampil is part of the institutional equities team at IIFL. He deals with large institutional investors in the capital markets - both domestic and international – on a daily basis and advices them on key investment decisions. He keeps a close watch on the global and Indian economy and key industries within, enabling him provide right investment outlook to clients. His focus area of expertise is healthcare related industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare services. Before joining IIFL, he used to cover the US small cap biotech space at Thomas Weisel, where he developed deep understanding of the global drug discovery business and investment strategy in that area. He has consulted for NatImmune, Copenhagen, a drug discovery company focusing on monoclonal antibodies and funded by Novo Ventures. He has also handled marketing of interventional cardiology products for Johnson & Johnson India, where he has gained on-the-ground knowledge of the business of healthcare. He is a registered physician and has practiced medicine, and understands the needs, offerings and market opportunities in healthcare area. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
