Gautam Shewakramani is a co-founder of Ras Maestros, a technology start-up in the handheld multimedia guide business. His family business interests include Primary Cuisine Pvt. Ltd., owners of a pan-India quick service restaurant chain, and the Ras Group of Hotels, owner and operator of over 200 hotel rooms at Ras Resorts, Silvassa, Hotel Rosewood, Mumbai, and Hotel Rajdoot, Mumbai.

Previously, he worked at Deloitte Consulting LLP in their strategy and operations group, where he worked with several private equity firms assisting with strategic and business due diligence for potential acquisitions. He has also worked at a quantitative equity hedge fund managed by Deutsche Asset Management, and with i+MED, a Thailand based biotechnology firm, where he was responsible for developing a strategy for the firm’s entry into the Indian market.

Gautam holds a Bachelor of Science from the College of Engineering, University of Notre Dame where he double majored in Computer Science and Film, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He works closely with the executive committee of the Cathedral and John Connon Alumni Association, is Chairman of the Alumni Schools Committee for the University of Notre Dame, and actively mentors & sponsors MIT Sloan student teams pursuing entrepreneurship courses and field-studies in Asia.
