Karthik is a Vice President at Times Private reaties, a unique business model deveoped by the Times Group to finance brands. Karthik has had a diverse set of experience in the financial services and media sectors.

He began his career at American Express Bank in Mumbai as a structuring specialist in currency and fixed income capital markets. He then moved to the US, where he worked at ABN AMRO Investment Banking, a startup - Softalia, and at an equity exchange – Instinet (a Reuters group company before being sold to Nasdaq). He returned to India in 2006 and shifted to the media sector to pursue his interests in the sector - in Media Investment Banking practice at SSKI and then as Head of Business Development at Deccan Chronicle. He's been with the Times Group since late 2007.

Karthik has graduated from IIT, Roorkee and IIM, Bangalore. He is an alumnus of the Wharton Business School, having completed his MBA in 2001.
