Balvinder Singh Kalsi
Balvinder Singh Kalsi Balvinder Singh Kalsi is President, DuPont South Asia & the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Chairman of the Board, E.I. DuPont India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont. Prior to his current role, Balvinder Kalsi was located at the company’s headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware as Director, Corporate Strategic Plans. He joined DuPont in 1991 as Manager, Finance & Planning. In his career spanning 23 years at DuPont, he has held a number of business and functional leadership positions. Balvinder Kalsi was named Business Director, Crop Protection, India, in May 1997 and assumed additional responsibilities for the Pioneer seed business in November 2002. He was named Executive Director, DuPont India in February 2005. Under his leadership, DuPont India has emerged as one of the fastest growing strategic markets for DuPont globally. The company’s operations in India witnessed rapid growth with the setting up of the DuPont Knowledge Center and the DuPont Services Center at Hyderabad in 2008 coupled with expansion of its direct presence into the newer markets of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Prior to his move to the United States, Balvinder Kalsi was President, DuPont, South Asia. In this role, he led E. I. DuPont India Private Limited for six years. Prior to joining DuPont, he was with the Escorts group of companies where he started his career in 1981. In this company, he held a range of finance and business development leadership positions with progressive responsibilities. Balvinder Kalsi is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
