Sharad Dalmia is Founder & Co-CEO for Staples Future in India. Staples Future is a joint venture between Staples Inc. (US$28 billion world’s largest office products company) & Future Group (India’s largest retail group).  It was formed in 2007 after merging the business of Officedge, an online B2B office products company which was co-founded by Sharad. Staples Future caters to customers through both delivery and retail channels with revenues of ~US$50 million for 2010, making it the largest player in the category.

Prior to starting his own enterprise, Sharad was working as a consultant with Accenture where he had a varied exposure across sectors including Services, Pharmaceuticals, Telecom and Information Technology. His assignments have been across strategic & operational areas with particular emphasis on entry strategy, procurement and performance improvement projects.

Hehas done his schooling from Cathedral & John Connon, Mumbai, and has completed his MBA in Entrepreneurship from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research where he stood first in the entire batch.

He was a founding member and part of the ‘executive committee’ of the Indian Merchant Chamber’s ‘Young Entrepreneur’s Wing’ which is a 300 member strong organisation aimed at facilitating entrepreneurship.
