Vineet is amongst the founders and promoters of Keynote and Concept Communication Group of Companies. Since 2005, Vineet, as Managing Director, leads Keynote as the foremost Boutique Investment Bank and Brokerage House focused on mid markets in India. He has over 13 years of experience in Investment Banking and Capital Markets. 

Vineet has vast experience and a track record for deal closures in Investment Banking.  He has been responsible for building the track record of Keynote in successfully raising Debt and Equity for over 200 mid-market Indian companies.  On the Debt side, he has been involved with various fund raising transactions in the form of Term Finance, Asset Finance, Debentures, External Commercial Borrowings, Trade Finance etc.  On the Equity side, Private Equity, IPOs and Pipe transactions have dominated Keynote’s area of expertise.  He was also involved in the formation of one the first Real Estate Venture Capital Fund in India.  Besides, catapulting Keynote to one of the most active and respectable Investment Bank’s in the domestic capital markets, Vineet has been responsible for establishing Keynote’s strong foothold as the Leading Domestic Advisor for GDRs and FCCBs from Indian companies in the international markets.

Keynote’s M&A and Private Equity Advisory practice, a vital constituent to Keynote’s leadership in mid markets, has gained drive under his stewardship. Keynote has been successful in providing “India Entry Strategy”, an advisory service provided by Keynote to multinational and foreign companies proposing to set up business in India.  Vineet also initiated set up of the ESOP & Valuation practice – an area in which Keynote, again leads. 

One of the key developments for growth was to set up the Brokerage business in a wholly owned subsidiary – Keynote Capitals Limited.  The Brokerage business commenced the operations in 1996 and today Keynote is an integrated and comprehensive broking house with memberships on the Bombay Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, Derivatives Markets, Multi Commodity Exchange.  The research base on mid market companies and especially IPO markets has aided Keynote to become a strong player in the institutional and HNI broking markets.  Recently, Keynote has also set up a Fund advisory business to complement its research and brokerage strength. 

Vineet is regular contributor to leading financial journals/media on views relating to Investment Banking and Capital Markets. He has presented at various forums including Institute of Chartered Accountants, Bombay Stock Exchange and UTI Institute of Capital Markets. He is a guest lecturer at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune on M&A.  Recently, he was covered by CNBC under Young Turks – a program that covers leading professionals in their respective fields. He has also been a speaker on the Indian Capital Markets conference by Thompson Reuters at Mumbai and the Marcus Evans Conference on FCCBs in Hong Kong.
