Harshal Shah is the CEO of Reliance Technology Ventures Ltd. and a member of the leadership team at Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group.
Harshal has advised and invested in deals worth several billion dollars. He is on the Boards of UK-based, eWaveWorld Ltd. (now, Reliance WiMAX World), where Reliance has invested $500 million to bring broadband internet to 50 countries by 2012; Stoke, Inc., a US based developer of fixed-mobile convergence solutions (www.stoke.com); Yatra Online, Inc., India’s largest online travel consolidator (www.yatra.com); several other US private companies; and Setco Automotive Ltd., which is a fast-growing, leading, listed company on the Bombay Stock Exchange with global aspirations (www.setcoclutch.com).
Prior to joining Reliance, Harshal had more than more than 14 years of experience in various roles at IBM Global Strategy (USA), Northstar Global Partners (USA), Infostakes, Inc. (USA and India), and Accenture (USA, Singapore, Hong Kong). At IBM, he led a team reporting to the CEO, to restructure IBM to become solutions driven, with increased focus on India. Infostakes, Inc., a company of which he was founder and CEO earlier, grew its net worth by 9000% in 3 years through investments in the US and India, and in partnership with Fidelity, applied to become a licensed member of the NASDAQ.
Harshal has an MBA in Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management from The Wharton School of Business. He is also a Truman Gray Scholar from MIT and MIT Sloan School of Management from which he earned two Bachelors’ degrees: in Management, and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, with a Minor in Economics.
