Rajesh Sehgal is a prolific angel investor always on the lookout for the next best thing to sliced bread. Having worked closely with a clutch of budding entrepreneurs over the years, he believes that people are more important than the business plan they are working on. His portfolio is diversified across sectors like mobile technology, internet, education, healthcare, financial services, etc. Rajesh is a voracious reader and in his spare time, he writes, travels, plays golf, lectures at various management institutes and tries to understand ever evolving, newer facets that this world never stops presenting.
Rajesh has a day job and is a Senior Executive Director with the Emerging Markets Group (EMG) of Franklin Templeton Investments and manages pre-IPO, PIPE (Private Investment in Public Enterprises) and Private Equity investments across Emerging Markets with special focus on India. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur and is a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Securities Law from the Government Law College, Mumbai. |
